Wow. "Black Belt" magazine inducted me into their Hall of Fame as the 2008 Self Defense Instructor of the Year. Who knew? Total surprise to me. There are a lot of great instructors around. I'm  proud to have been thought highly enough of to be included among them. Thank you.

Lito Angeles, "Black Belt" magazine contributor, wrote this article stating who he thinks are the top 20 toughest fighters on planet Earth...flattering to be included - obviously meant "tongue in cheek"

Bob Young, Editor of Black Belt asked me to do a cover issue. I told him I didn't train civilians, just had DVD instructional products for that. He persisted - his point being that "Black Belt" readership had grown increasingly interested in combatives and more street-oriented systems / curriculums / techniques. Two part story.
